Private by design

Every ezmeet room is an unguessable link, and joining always requires a signed-in account. There is no public room directory and no numeric code to stumble onto — if you were not sent the link, you are not getting in.
In the call, media is relayed through our servers rather than exposed peer-to-peer, so participants never see each other’s IP addresses. Everything is encrypted in transit: TLS everywhere, and WebRTC’s DTLS-SRTP for audio and video.
And a choice we made by leaving something out: ezmeet does not record meetings. Real-time audio and video are carried to the people in the room and never written to disk. If we ever add recording, it will be off by default and obvious to everyone present.
